In 1985, former premier  Li Peng inspected scientific research achievements of the center.

In November 1998, Zou Jiahua, former vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, visited the center.

On July 13, 1997, Jiang Zemin, former Party general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, inspected water supply equipment for Zhongnanhai.

In November 1998, former member of the Political Bureau of the CPC and the Party Secretary of Shanghai City, Huang Ju, and former mayor of Shanghai City, Xu Kuangdi, visited the Water Treatment Center.

In April 1999, Jiang Zhenghua, former vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, visited the center.

In February 2000, Li Ruihuan, former member of the Standing Committee of the Central Political Bureau and former chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, visited the center.

In 2002, Zhang Dejiang, former Party secretary of Zhejiang province, visited the center.

In 2002, Song Jian, former president of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, visited the Water Treatment Center and listened to Gao Congjie, who was chief scientist of the center and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

On June 6, 2005, former director of the Office of the National Economic Mobilization, Mr Zhou, visited the Water Treatment Center.

In August 2005, Mao Linsheng, former vice-governor of Zhejiang Province, inspected our Seawater Desalination Project in Shengsi.

On Dec.15, 2006, vice-director of the State Oceanic Administration visited the center.

On June 9, 2007, a leader of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, who was in charge of supervision, visited the center.

On Sep.4, 2008, Wang Yongchang, vice-chairman of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, visited the center.

On April 5, 2010, a panel of Zhejiang Coastal Areas Project headed by Ms Qian Zhengying, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, visited the center for research and investigations.

On Aug.19, 2010, vice-mayor of Hangzhou City, Tong Guili, visited the center.

On May 27, 2011, Huang Kunming, Party secretary of Hangzhou City, visited the center.

On Oct.10, 2011, Xie Zhenhua, vice-director of the National Development and Reform Commission, attended the unveiling ceremony of the Caofeidian Seawater Desalination Project that is listed as key model projects for seawater desalination development, designated by the National Development and Reform Committee.

On June 4, 2012, Xie Zhenhua, the vice director of the National Development and Reform Commission paid a visit to the Center.

On June 6, 2012, Li Jing, the vice director of the Department of Resource & Environment, the National Development and Reform Commission, paid a visit to the Center.

On June 26, 2012, Xu Hongjun, the vice director of  the Standing Committee of Zhejiang Provincial People’s Congress paid a visit to the Center’s base of seawater desalination.
